The father of my child is Jewish and it would really mean a lot to him if our little girl had a Hebrew first name (the middle name doesn't need to be Hebrew). The issue I've had is that there are a lot of names that are gorgeous, but are horribly overused (i.e. Hannah, Rachel, Elizabeth) and on the other end of the spectrum, there are names that are insane. I want a name that people know, but I want my daughter to be the only one in her class with that name. I'm really lost!
Our last name is Kantor (pronounced Kanter).
What is a good Hebrew name for a girl (not overused)?
Eleora...Lord is my light.
Ilana, (Uhh., thats an i then an L...but you can't really tell the difference when you capitalize the i)
Jubilee.
Tovah.
And names with EL in them mean they have something to do with God. As El is God.
Reply:My name is Rachel and I'm Jewish :) I love my name. And my Jewish neighbors' last name is Kantor... Weird.
Anyway, here are some ideas:
Leah, Sarah, Aliza, Dalia, Daniella, Eliana, Leila, Maya, Michaela, Rebecca, Talia
Reply:Congrats!! Well I love this name, it means Lion Of God.
Arielle. It also goes well with your last name. Its pronounced like this 'ah ree EL' or 'AYR ee el'. Not sure how used it is. I've only meet one girl with it.
I really love it, hope you like it too! Have a great day.
Also, if you have the time, please help!
