How do you spell my name in Hebrew and Arabic?

My name is Eric and I was just wondering.

Thanks

How do you spell my name in Hebrew and Arabic?
In Hebrew it's just אריק (although the writing is the same for "Eric" and "Aric").

If you want to eliminate the ambiguity you can use a vowel mark ("Niqud") for the first letter, which would make it אֶריק
Reply:in arabic it's إرك not ايرك and it's pronounced as in english

إيريك is pronounced "ee-reek"

إيرك is pronounced "ey-ric"

إرك is pronounced "Eric"

the difference in pronouncing is that in arabic r is heavier than in english but not so heavy as in russian
Reply:إرك
Reply:ايرك (arabic) which is actually "ay-rik" coz it can't be said like in english. cheers
Reply:actually, the guy above me is wrong. he wrote إرك , which is "irik" with an abrupt end. the first guys' sounds better, because people will know a name is being said, and irik (with an abrupt end, i.e say it in a microsecond) sounds too wierd. so ايرك "ey-rik" sound the best, (like the first guy, and not the variations te guy above me posted.
Reply:أريك= Arabic
