i would like to try and get it quite accurate as its for a tattoo
Iam looking for help with translating my name to latin or hebrew. My name is leeann?
Leeann is not originally a Hebrew name, but it is still a name used in Israel by Hebrew speakers. It can't be translated (don't let anyone tell you otherwise), but it can be transliterated - written in Hebrew letters to be pronounced exactly the same as it is in English.
As others have written before, it would be spelled 诇讬讗谉 (without nikud).
If you'd like any more help with this translation to Hebrew and/or help with designing it, feel free to contact me on my website. :)
Reply:There are several ways to translate a name into Hebrew. One is to simply make a transcription of it, that is write the sound of the name in Hebrew letters.
Leeann in Hebrew letters: 诇讬讗谉
Another way is to translate the meaning of name into the Hebrew
language.
Since this is for a tattoo, you might use a professional service that can translate and also design it for you. Try: http://my-hebrew-tattoo.com
Reply:"Lee" is from a surname which was derived from Old English 'leah' "meadow". In Latin it can be literally translated as "pratum".
The Latin form for "Ann" is "Anna".
"LeAnn" in Hebrew is : 诇讬讗谉
Reply:My translation software came up with "nnaeeL" in Hebrew
