Is the name Menelik a Hebrew name? He was the son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.?

If it's not a Hebrew name how would you pronunce in Hebrew to make it a Hebrew name?

Is the name Menelik a Hebrew name? He was the son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.?
I don't think it is...I can find nothing definitive on it but I do find that there is a modern of the same name :

C鈥檈st l鈥檈mpereur M茅n茅lik (r茅gnant de 1889 脿 1913)

qui paracheva cette conqu锚te, donnant 脿 l鈥櫭塼hiopie ses fronti猫res actuelles. L鈥檃mbition de M茅n茅lik et de son successeur indirect, Hail茅 S茅lassi茅 (empe-reur de 1930 脿 1974

So look for the emperor reigning from 1889 - 1913 who gave Ethiopia its present borders . Looks like an Amharic name.
Reply:It doesnt appear in the KJV - non-scriptural

Menelik I (originally named Ebna la-Hakim, "Son of the Wise"), first Jewish Emperor of Ethiopia, is traditionally believed to be the son of Solomon
Reply:Wiki says it is Ethiopian

Menelik I (originally named Ebna la-Hakim, "Son of the Wise") first Jewish Emperor of Ethiopia is traditionally believed to be the son of King Solomon of ancient Israel and Makeda, Queen of Sheba and ruled around 950 BC, according to traditional sources.
Reply:It's Ethiopian, and Amharic specifically, which is a Semitic language like Hebrew and Arabic.

Menelik means "Son of the Wise Man" or "What Will He Bring?"

You can find Menelik's story in the "Kebra Negast (The Glory of the Kings)," the chronicles of the Solomonic line of Ethiopia, written in Ge'ez, the religious language of Ethiopia.
Reply:I think the name is Ethiopian, but I'm not sure.

It could be pronounced in Hebrew as Menelik..
