It shouldn't change much, but how do you pronounce it?
Reply:Peace has the good idea to ask a Rabbi, but don't mention it's for a tattoo, tattoos are forbidden by Judaism. YOTG would know since he speaks it, but I'm curious as to what that translates to. I know with Chinese/Japanese characters, what makes "sense" as a literal translation really makes no sense at all and looks like a jumble of characters. While Jodie is a Hebrew name, Kaye means Rejoice in Greek. If some other Hebrew speakers agree with YOTG, that's the way to go.

3) It's TRANSLITERATION you want, into Hebrew SCRIPT. Your name doesn't have a "translation"....it's just a name


4) Why pose? If this is your ethnic background, learn the language. If not, don't appropriate the language for a tacky tattoo.

Why don't you go to a synogogue or ask a jewish friend to help you?
