Reply:JESUS

Gender: Masculine

Usage: Theology, Biblical

Pronounced: JEE-zus [key]

English form of 螜畏蟽慰蠀蟼 (Iesous), which was the Greek form of the Aramaic name 讬值砖讈只注址 (Yeshu'a). Yeshu'a is itself a contracted form of Yehoshu'a (see JOSHUA). Yeshua ben Yoseph, better known as Jesus Christ, was the central figure of the New Testament and the source of the Christian religion. The four Gospels state that he was the son of God and the Virgin Mary who fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah. He preached for three years before being crucified in Jerusalem.
Reply:Yeshua Ha-Mashiach

Reply:He did not speak Hebrew, he spoke aramaic, and it was "alaha"
Reply:if you watch the Passion his mother mary says his name in Hebrew. It is really neat. I would try and spell it but.........it is hebrew! Good luck
Reply:Yeshua (of course, even this is translisterated simply because I do not have Hebrew or Aramaic lettering)
