Looking for cute baby girl names- which one sounds better Galilea or Galilee???????? looking for biblical names or something tropical,
Baby name for Girl --Galilea (Spanish) or Galilee (Inglish)?????? More Hebrew name???
I don't like either version personally. Sounds like Galileo.
Galia is prettier!!!
In Hebrew The meaning of the name Galia is: God shall redeem.
But the name "Lea" means tired in Hebrew?
I just looked up some Hebrew names...
Isabella - In Hebrew The meaning of the name Isabella is: Devoted to God.
Maia - In Hebrew The meaning of the name Maia is: Close to God.
Sadie - In Hebrew The meaning of the name Sadie is: Diminutive of Sarah: Princess.
Sapphira - In Hebrew The meaning of the name Sapphira is: Variant of Sapphire: Sapphire (gem); beautiful.
Good luck!!!
Reply:i just think of Galileo (and he was Italian, so i would guess it's an Italian name really), I'm not sure we (I'm from Spain) have the feminine Galilea, or at least i or anyone i just asked :D have heard of it, so if it is a name from here then its surely a unique one and that always a good thing :D i don't really like it doesn't sound very feminine to me, but its up to you, i do love Lea for short though.
Reply:i dont like eather galilea or galilee... you have such pretty names in hebrew.... you have, sara, rivka, rachel, lea, naomi, ruth, michal, miriam, esther, tzipora and much more..
Reply:Galilea, definitely. Galilee is a city and with all the troubles in the middle east right now, i dont think that would be appropriate.
Reply:I'm not keen on either but would choose Galilea over Galilee.
I like Kelila. It's Hebrew but has quite an exotic sound to it
Reply:Galilea. :)
Reply:I like Galilea, but if you have a long last name, Galilee might flow better.
Reply:My favorite is Galilahi, it's Cherokee Indian for "snowbird" =)
Reply:Galilea and call her Lea for short
