I found the name Shiri on a web site with Hebrew names. What is the correct way to pronounce it????

I love the meaning and would like to name my daughter that. Can anyone help?

I found the name Shiri on a web site with Hebrew names. What is the correct way to pronounce it????
The name Shiri is spelled 砖讬专讬 in Hebrew (written from right to left) and translates to: my song. The pronunciation is She-Ree.

'She' like in English and 'Ree' like in " (Rea)l ". The 'r' letter however, is pronounced much more thick, and at times like the French 'r' depending on dialects.

Whichever is easier for you, both are understandable to other Hebrew spears. If it is hard for you to pronounce the "rolled/trilled" sounding 'r', I suggest you use the French 'r' sound (also used in Hebrew).

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions =]
Reply:Like "shee-ree" with the stress on the first syllable.

But the Hebrew 'r' sound is very different that the English one (much 'harder').
